Many people know their account balance but do not have a clear picture of average spending, the categories with the greatest impact, genuine saving capacity or commitments due in the coming months.
BC-MyFinance is a prototype in development at Balzano Consulting around this need. Its first objective is to import transactions and turn them into more understandable information.
From transaction list to personal balance sheet.
Banking applications provide useful transaction histories, but unclear descriptions and inconsistent categories make the overall direction difficult to understand. Income, expenditure, transfers, balances and monthly periods can instead create a history that distinguishes occasional events from structural change.
Import and categorisation.
Initial development starts with transactions exported by one specific institution. Support for additional formats will be expanded and validated progressively; the product is not presented as compatible with every bank.
Date, description, amount, direction, balance, merchant and recurrence can feed categories such as housing, food, transport, health, instalments, subscriptions, savings and investments.
Rules and automatic recognition may reduce manual work while allowing user corrections. Automation should support analysis, not produce misleading precision.
Reports, deadlines and forecasts.
Monthly reporting may show income, expenses, net balance, categories, recurring items, saving capacity and liquidity trends. Regular income, instalments, subscriptions, taxes, planned expenditure and saving goals can support forecast scenarios.
These are not certainties but simulations intended to evaluate sustainability and possible liquidity issues. Planned developments also include receipts, deadlines, reminders and goals connected to emergency funds, training, travel, property or debt repayment.
Privacy and control of financial data.
A financial application handles sensitive information. Storage, encryption, backups, permissions, exports and deletion must be treated as core requirements. Any automated bank integration will require technical, regulatory and security assessment.
BC-MyFinance is an analysis tool, not a financial adviser.
Data, simulations and indicators do not replace authorised professionals and do not constitute investment or borrowing recommendations.
A prototype in development, open to pilots.
The features described are roadmap items and may be configured or changed during testing. The current phase validates import, balance structure, categorisation, reporting, forecasting and usability with potential pilot partners.
